This sub-series contains recordings and transcripts of the interview. Mary Alys was the longest-serving member of WILPF UK until 2013, when she passed away. She left behind recordings of her time and experiences at WILPF. These were recorded during the last weeks of her life. She had kidney cancer, diagnosed in August 2012. She had attended the WILPF Congress in Costa Rica in July 2011 as the UK delegation lead, and was previously an International Board member for the UK serving, on and off, on the UK WILPF Executive. She died on 18th May 2013 after joining WILPF, in Worthing, Sussex on 24th May 1982.

The interviewer, Lorraine Mirham, was a Leicester WILPF member, and previously a Worthing member during the 1980s.

At the time of the interview, Rosalind was the Director of Maternity Action, a UK maternity rights charity committed to ending inequality and improving the health and wellbeing of pregnant women, partners and young children. Carolina, a feminist migrant human rights activist, was Director of the Latin American Women's Rights Service (LAWRS) between 2012 and 2017, a user-led feminist and human rights organisation addressing the practical and strategic needs of Latin American migrant women displaced by poverty and violence. At the time of the interview, Carolina was also a member of the UN Women's Global Expert Working Group on Gender and Migration. Date of interview: 26/10/2020. Length of recording: 00:50:08.

Ailsa had young children when the camp was set up in the 1980s and she got to know about Greenham thanks to her local CND group. She only stayed overnight once and mostly visited during the day and for the big demos. She talks about monthly peace camps at Aldermaston and Burghfield and how they went to court to 'get recognition that camping is a form of protest'. She also talks about other groups linked to the peace camps, such as Nuke Watch and Nuclear Information Service. She mentions the power of songs, NVDA and how reading 'Children of Hiroshima' was a very formative experience for her - at the end of the interview, she reads an extract from the book.

Alison was a sociology student in Aberdeen when she was asked by some friends if she would drive a minibus for them down to Greenham. She visited many times afterwards and was arrested twice. The first time she was held illegally in the cells under Newbury police station for 5 days and the second time, she was convicted of obstruction. She appealed on the basis that the police, military and lorries containing nuclear weapons obstructed the road far more than she had by sitting down. She won. She remembers vividly the violence of the police, the importance of NVDA and most importantly, the fun.
