This collection includes material about LSE community and its history, created or collected by members of the community, including LSE alumni, students and staff. The first two series contain photos and interviews produced as a result of projects run to mark two important LSE anniversaries - 120 and 125 years since the foundation of LSE in 1895.

A collection of audio and video recordings of around 1000 public lectures delivered at LSE from 1990 – 2006, covering a wide range of topics relating to the social and historical sciences. The featured speakers are high-profile international scholars and policy makers with a broad range of expertise, including members of the LSE academic community and scholars from outside the School, as well as world leaders and other political figures, philanthropists, broadcasters, entrepreneurs and campaigners. Subjects covered in these lectures include economics, politics, philosophy, sociology, history, accounting and finance, law, gender studies, architecture, anthropology and the hard sciences.

Together, these publications form a public record of the Schools’ history and activities.

The Beaver

This collection comprises previous issues of The Beaver, the official fortnightly newspaper of the LSE Students’ Union, including all issues from 1949 to 2012. The issues feature articles, opinion pieces and commentary about LSE and wider social and political topics. The Beaver is currently still in print and issues are now also published online.
